I’m going to start my new diet on…(insert future date that always gets pushed back for some reason or another).

Ever set a date to start that new healthy diet everyone is raving about. Have you had those conversations with yourself on why this is the best thing I can do for myself, but I can always start tomorrow. The funny thing is, tomorrow never comes for that diet or new healthy activity. I’ve been there myself. I’ve literally had a conversation (or argument) with myself on why it’s okay to wait for some new time in the future that always passes by.

Things come up and life happens, right? Life always happens and before we know it, life has passed us by.

My question to you is, why do you always feel like you have to wait for that right moment? In my opinion, it comes down to priorities. How high do you prioritize your health and quality of life?

Over the course of my life I have become attuned with my health and nutrition. The better I eat and maintain a healthy level of fitness, the quality of my life improves. From sleep, work, to just having sustained energy levels throughout the day are really affected.

So why wait? Why not start now? Now is all we have. The past is gone and the future has yet to come. We always have the now. When the self conversations kick in, tell yourself I’m ready to start my new diet now and go for it. There will always be obstacles in the way and reasons for not starting now will always be there. But if you prioritize your health first, everything else will be easier to handle.
