KAT CIRONE

COACH

I grew up in a rural town in Maine where I was a competitive gymnast until I had a sudden growth spurt at the age of 16. I continued my high school athletic career on the track and field team where I competed in triple jump, long jump, high jump as well as sprinting the 100m, 200m and anchoring the 4x100m relay team. After high school I competed Division 1 Track and Field at Colorado State University specializing in triple, long and high jump and placed multiple times at the mountain west conference championships. After college I stumbled around for several years trying to find my next athletic endeavor. I tried the “running thing” by participating in several 5k and 10Ks, even completed a half and full marathon. After the marathon I joined the circus (literally) and performed as an aerial acrobat for several years before finally finding CrossFit in 2013. I originally began CrossFit to maintain my upper body strength for aerial acrobatics, but fell in love with the sport and the community and haven’t looked back! I knew instantly that I had finally found my place. Within a few years of starting CrossFit I was competing in the open, getting my CF-L1 along with other specialty certificates, and focusing on nutrition and macros!
